Work is now well underway to try and enact an on-time State Budget by the April 1st deadline.
With this in mind, I wanted to take this opportunity to reinforce my key budget priorities for 2013:
- Cutting taxes for small businesses across the state to strengthen our economy and help create jobs; and
- Reducing energy bills for every New Yorker and every business.
In addition, I am also fighting to prevent cuts in support for key initiatives that serve women throughout New York, from important women’s health programs, to rape crisis centers.
By working together, I am confident we can deliver an on-time, balanced budget that controls spending, provides tax relief, and protects the key priorities valued by our families and our community.
